Tonight we finished watching Anne of Green Gables. The girls have been very interested in the story, especially LittleZabba. She was very excited when it became clear that Gilbert “liked” Anne Shirley. She giggled every time they would talk, or when Gilbert would give Anne “that” look.
The credits rolled with Gilbert and Anne walking together. LittleZabba let out a big sigh, and said,
That’s the end!? Dang. I wanted to see them kiss.
This morning LittleZabba wanted a snack. She went to the cupboard and decided to she wanted to try something new. She chose crackers with the spreadable cheese. She doesn’t normally like cheese, so I was surprised when she wanted to try it. When she opened it she asked,
Oh, do I dip the cracker in the cheese?
I responded, “They mean for you to use the stick and spread the cheese on yourself.”
With a stunned look she said,
I have to spread the cheese on myself?
We have been doing a lot of spelling practice this week. In the midst of our practice with BigZabba, LittleZabba was also learning the spelling words.
Be amazed.
I love how creative the girls are. While working outside the girls started collecting snails, grass & leaves for them to eat. BigZabba got out her bug catcher so she could keep a few of them. Soon there were more toys out for the snails. After a few minutes they decided to make a snail amusement park. They had the best time finding more snails and making new “obstacles” for the snails. It was so fun to watch them use their imagination and be creative with their play time.
It is a little hard to see, but if you look close you can see the snails crawling on their toys.
In the morning the girls like to have some play time before beginning the day. The other day BigZabba decided that she wanted to teach LittleZabba her numbers. Her tactic was to sort and count her chalk and have LittleZabba write the number. Pretty clever. They both had fun and LittleZabba did a little learning.
