This past weekend we took our tent trailer out for the first time. We spent the weekend at the beach with my Sister and her family. Despite the heat and the thin mattress, we had a great time. The kids loved playing in the dirt, splashing in the water and spending time with the cousins, whom they don’t get to see nearly enough.
Growing up my family did not camp, so marrying into a camping clan was a little intimidating for me. But DZ has learned that my version of roughing it involves a daily shower, and a flush toilet. We were spoiled on this trip and had full hook ups…electricity, hot running water..I won’t know what to do with myself next time when the outlets don’t work!
Looks like it was a blast! Cool location too.
I’m so glad that the maiden voyage was a success. Believe it or not I even prayed that it would be a smooth, fun, bonding, etc. experience and that you’d all be really glad you bought the trailer.
